Makoto

La semana pasada fui a probar el restauraunte, pedimos un hot stone, kobe carpaccio y el especial del chef. Si quieren probar un auntentico sushi japonese este es el lugar ideal, estaban muy ricos y frescos. Al hot stone no siento que era algo especial, ademas de que el precio es bastante cariñoso ya que la porcion es bastante pequeña. Les recomiendo que prueben el sushi!

Comida japonesa, dicen más tradicional, pero en realidad tiene un toque gourmet. Por qué varos platos no indican los nombres en japonés de los platos? Bueno, más allá de estos detalles, si nos focalizamod en la calidad, el sushi es de lo mejor que hay en Panamá., de eso no hay duda. Variedad de pescados, que no hay en otros restaurantes. Muy recomendable. Después pedimos unos "yakisoba", que acá lo llaman diferente, que viene en una plancha caliente, que está bueno, pero un poco ácido para mi gusto (quizás el sosu, es el problema), el plato de unagi con arroz, estaba bueno. De postre una plancha con frutas con helado, que estaba bien, aunque nada especial, bueno para compartir. En conclusión, para volver para probar otros platos, pero lo mejor es el sushi.

Makoto is a true gem in Panama. During this visit we had a few mishaps: first the wagyu sticks were over cooked. Second, the waiter misheard our order and brought a second dish that we didn’t order... he kept claiming that he heard 2 when we only ordered 1. And lastly, we had an issue with the chicken dumplings with trufa. We ordered them and asked if it came with trufa, the waiter confirmed and brought shaved trufa without letting us know that there’s an extra charge for it. When the bill came we were shocked to see $30 just for trufa, when we questioned it... they claimed we ordered it aside when we had only asked if it came with it. While the waiter did remove this charge, it reminded me that whichever restaurant we visit.. we have to always be vigilant in checking the bill twice!

I have always been a fan of Makoto delivery. I love their bento boxes and the proportions. Today I was thoroughly looking forward to it.. as the last time I ordered the sashimi bento box it even came with an ice pack to keep the sashimi fresh and cool. I was highly disappointed with the the size of the pieces of sashimi... they were really tiny. And on top of that... they packed it in a bad way that half the miso soup fell. I showed the guy he dropped it off and he didn't seem to care much. Hope they can go back to what they were doing before...

El lugar es amplio y acogedor a la vez. La comida deliciosa. Pedimos un arroz frito riquísimo, un waygu beef muy bueno pero algo incómodo por el anafe en el que viene. Los adamames picantes son de chuparse los dedos. Des muy difícil equivocarse en este restaurante, pues todo lo que he comido aquí ha sido delicioso.
