Have passed by this restaurant a number of times as i live in the area so yesterday we decided to eat late lunch. The main resraurant was quite small , maybe ten tables and decorated a little old fashioned but nice. Tables were laid properly with all the linen and table ware which shoukd be the case for an expensive higher end restaurant. Waiter arrives and asks what we want to drink but forgot the wine/drinks menu!!!!! Ordered a beer but he did not know what beers he had or how much they were. Eventually solved and the wine menu came ..ordered the recommendation of crianza at $33 ..i am no wine expert but please do not try and con the guests by bringing a cheap young Roble wine and trying to pass it as a crianza. They are two completely different wines Roble aged for six months in bottle and barrell as is not very expensive and the Crianza aged for a minimum of 2years in bottle and barrel and suprisingly more expensive. The waiter had no idea and kept arguing that it was a crianza even though the label said RobleI. I was very disappointed that we had to go through this and not something i like to do in any restaurant good or bad. Food was good, for the price i think it was an average meal. Pulpo Gallaega was nice and cochinillo was very good. The bacalao and crab to me was just a very salty dish and could not be finished. Would i go back, maybe not, would i recommend, maybe not, but if you do go then do not fall for the wine trick and do check the prices of the food that is not on the menu. They fail to mention prices of dishes not on non the menu and are a little grumpy when asked to confirm.. It is around 16 dollars is not what i want to hear and then maybe a charge of20 dollars
Servicio: excelente y a tiempo.
