The Raj

By far the best indian food I have had in Panama to date. I had an incredible chicken tikka kebab (really huge amount of chicken) a fantastic (kadeer?) paneer and the best naan (cheese with garlic) I think I have ever had. Food was extremely freshly prepared and too hot to eat initially. Spices were really really good.....definitely not watered down in any way for softer palettes. However, the new owner needs to be careful of service. For some reason this restaurant - as it did before - seems to be a meeting point for the local Indian community coming to talk business or just hang out. This for me makes the restaurant appear less serious about what it is there to do. I was the only customer in the restaurant and the owner/manager was talking business to some locals close to me whilst the only waiter sat watching the football. He did check on me, but I think only because I was sat so close to the bar so he had to keep walking past me, otherwise I'm sure I would have been forgotten about if I had been further away. Bearing in mind that the decor and even furnishings are exactly the same as with the previous restaurant....I feel they need to look after the local (non-Indian) business better and improve the service or it will not win more business. Panamanians do like Indian food from what I have seen, but the decor and service needs to be improved to win them over. Having said all this, if you know and love Indian food then you will realise that this place is a step above all the others, and that is the main reason I would go back....and for just the food alone it is totally worth it!

Los platos que pedimos son espectaculares las Samoa con la salsa de tamarindo buenísimo el chicken tikka masa la excelente y de bebida un sweet lassi

Intento siempre resaltar lo positivo de cada lugar que visito. El restaurante cambio de administración y fui a almorzar y mi comida estuvo muy buena... la calidad sigue siendo la misma. En cuanto al servicio sinceramente no está a la altura ... dije soy vegana y mi plato tenía queso ...la mesera no tenía ni idea de lo que hacía y solo se sentó a ver televisión y ni la mesa limpió.la locación es bonita pero hay mucho que mejorar... honestamente volveré cuando estén más organizados.

Excelente comida India. Probamos las samosas de entrada pero mejor estuvo el masala papad con sus especias. De plato fuerte el clásico butter chicken y el mutton korma que estuvieron verdaderamente exquisitos, acompañados de nan. El clásico y el Peshwari que por fin lo hacen en Panamá. El ambiente parece farmacia. Necesita algo de música y que lo adornen un poco. Pero regreso por la comida sin duda.

Ambiente: El lugar es.grande se puede hacer evento o cena familiares sin problema. Decoración regular no tiene mucho ambiente. Los asientos son comodos eso si. Servicio: Los meseros son amable y atentos de sus mesas. Lo que me encantó fue el tiempo que tomaron para sacar las comidas. Fueron bien rapidas después que uno hace su pedido sin tener que aguantar mucho el hambre! Comoda: Comoda auténtica y muy rica honestamente. Vale la pena variar entre otros lugares que ofrecen comida indu. El butter chicken es el "safe choice" pero pueden ir con curry chicken y shrimp tika masala. Tienen buen spices and bastante sabores. Ojo con el nivel de picante de ellos. Soy una persona que puedo comer picante y pedí el nivel mas bajó de ellos y aún así senir que ya es suficiente picante. Si no eres tienes costumbres de picante hay que pedir el mínimo!
