Super Gourmet

High marks for anything other than food. i liked the setup and the variety more than anything. you are not getting "gourmet" food when you step into this joint, but rather average diner food. if that makes any sense. the ingredients are fresh and mostly organic or local which is great. its just that the execution is lacking. for instance, i ordered the french toast, taste was grea--spot on! however, my toast was soggy. and this was before i put a little syrup on there. so, 5 pts for taste, 0 for execution--they sort of cancel each other out. i also like that they serve breakfast all day. kudos. with all that said, i would definitely come back to try other options.

Fresh Baked Empanadas, homemade soup, aromas so yummy you want to lick the air. This is no joke…they were INCREDIBLE! Honestly, I went in here on a food tour and had some amazing chocolate…then I saw that they sell Coconut Milk in the 1 Litre Tetra packs and I have been looking everywhere for Coconut Milk (I don’t like Almond Milk). So the next day I went back to get some groceries and when I walked in the door the wave of fresh baked empanadas floating in the air was exactly what heaven should smell like so naturally I bought 3: A chicken, a spinach & mushroom and a pineapple. I also took home some split pea soup. The first thing I thought was… oh my gosh if my mother tried this soup she would BEG for the recipe. Holy man alive! Do not miss out on this place if you are in Casco Viejo.

The food is delicious, customer service is awesome. It's a great place, this is where everyone in Casco meets!!
