Niko's Café (El Dorado)

Finally had a chance to check out Niko Cafe in front of the Multi Plaza Mall after 10 months of passing by it almost everyday. We went there on a Sunday morning before 10 am and the place was almost full. I guess this is really a popular spot with the locals. Our Spanish is terrible so we kinda looked around first to see how people got their food. So for those like us who want to experience this restaurant for the first time, here is how it goes. If you just want to have bread or pastries with your coffee, there is a separate kiosk which is located near the entrance. The breads are priced by weight (mostly 6 USD per kg) but of course you can buy by the piece. On the other side, of the main entrance is the start of the cafeteria style service. The first is a sandwich station followed by coffee and then the regular menu. When we were there, they had the breakfast items on display so you can choose your scrambled eggs, french toast or sausages. Just point to what you like and they will put it on a plate. Then comes the beverages and dessert section before you reach the cashier to pay for your food. The main dining hall is fairly big and they have a play area for kids.

Realmente la comida es simple, lo mejor del restaurante son los emparedados, si tienes la suerte que no este llena la fila de emparedados( y si tienes la paciencia de esperar mas o menos media hora a para que preparen). ahora bien; el otro problema que el precio no es barato, la comida no pasa de ser buena o regular y la atencion se limita a servir la comida y limpiar la mesa cuando te retiras.

Este restaurante es básicamente un desvare, si no hay más opción a nikos puedes ir. Los emparedados están bien, la comida pues es una cocción masiva así son sabores normales que no disgustan. Lo único que si veo malo es que el ruido es insoportable.

La variedad de comida lo hace una buena opción a la hr de no esta seguro de que querer comer y no gastar mucho. El lugar permanece limpio, la atención es promedia y aveces la fila para pagar demora mucho.

Un restaurante de comida casera y buen ambiente. Aunque ha disminuido la calidad de la comida, hay gran variedad y precios accesibles como el menu ejecutivo de lunes a viernes por 4.50. El combo club sandwich sigue siendo rico, que es lo mas popular en este restaurante.
