It's a Thursday night and we decided to go out for dinner to this restaurant to get the full experience (we previously visited for lunch a few weeks back). Parking is a little tricky at that location if they are semi-full, but we were able to snag a spot on the side facing the Rey Supermarket. We had a reservation and were happily greeted at the entrance and led to our table. Almost every table was occupied, so it was a relatively busy night there. The service was attentive, though I saw the same issue with the waitresses we saw during lunch - they do their job without a smile. There was a young man there who appeared to be with a wine tasting company - he was very pleasant, highly attentive to all and made us feel welcome. On to the food - for appetizers, we had the empanadas, which were fresh with great taste. They were an excellent starter for our main courses - I had the Rib Eye steak, medium well with grilled asparagus and the wife had the Pork Sandwich. The wine guy offered a sample of a Merlot called Paso Fino - I am not a big Merlot fan, however, this is an excellent wine that paired very well with the steak. The Rib Eye was cooked correctly, extremely tender, highly marbled with great flavor. An excellent meal. My wife was disappointed with the Pork sandwich - a bit of a letdown from the Flank Steak sandwich she had when we were there for lunch previously. Overall, this is a very good steakhouse, with a clean, contemporary ambiance that makes it great for a date night or a group gathering of friends/family. Stick to the steak related dishes and you will not go wrong!
