Leños & Carbón (Causeway)

Have eaten here quite a few times before the pandemic and has always been very good. However last week when we went for late lunch , the atmosphere and cooking has definitely changed. A party of five people and we were all a little disappointed as it is not an inexpensive restaurant. The views are always great especially when you have the table overlooking the marina and the boats. . They have the new style digital menu which unfortunately was not working on three of our ( new ) phones and the waiter told us that this had been a problem for a while and unfortunately they did not have a physical hard menu. Quite a few of the original choices have been removed and that's fine but in addition two of the five starters(entradas) that we ordered where also not available. So back to sharing phones and menus between everybody. We always like our wine and this was even more problematic as they did not have one of the wines that we chose( surely on a digital menu they can remove what is not available immediately so we can order what they have?) Eventually they informed us that if we waited five minutes they would have a bottle of the rioja crianza as they were going to collect from somewhere else.. Well by the tie it arrived we had all aged as it took forever and was not a crianza but just a standard rioja. I did mention this but they did not want to accept and still charged us for a more expensive crianza. Ordered the rib eye medium buy received a new york done rare. Did mention this to the waiter but did not want to argue about the cut but asked for it to be cooked a little more. Well the. Chef must have been having a super bad day as the food came back so over cooked it was terrible. Have they changed the chef from before the pandemic, maybe. Maybe it was a bad day , I don't know,. Will I go back, yes I will as I have normally had lovely meals with great views. I hope that the management read this review and address some of not all of the issues as I would not like to cross this restaurant of my list of go to restaurants for the weekends

Solo puede decir que la comida de ambos plato estaba malo no estaba fresca la carne pareciera que fuera guardado que deserción.

Tuve una mala experiencia, habíamos pedido PIcada Mixta de Mar y Tierra, el platillo estaba totalmente frío, incluso encontramos un huevito de moscas en el cerdo. Pedí salsa a 3 mesoneros y ningún quiso traerme... Tardaron aproximadamente 30 minutos en traer la comida ya que estaba full. Buen ambiente.

Super fresco el ambiente; si no les molesta el olor a mar. Como siempre pido las entradas que ofrece el menú que son los crocantes de queso y un carpaccio. Me sorprendió lo bueno que son sus ensaladas. Se me olvido tomarle foto a las carnes...

La veces que he ido esta lleno y debemos esperar a ser llamados para ocupar mesa. Excelente la atención tanto del señor del estacionamiento como de los meseros. La comida tardó un poco pero es comprensible con el restaurante lleno, nuestra entrada y media jarra de Sangría (deliciosa y alcanza para unas 6 copas) llegaron breve. Bonita vista (si te toca en la terraza) familiar, tv con partido de NFL, baños limpios. La comida buena, la salsa de mi pomodoro con tomates cherry estaba muy sabrosa, me hubiese gustado un poquito más suave la pasta.
