Celebrated our 10yr wedding anniversary here on a Sunday evening, since it is one of our preferred Sushi restaurants in the City and we wanted to enjoy a good outing, based on past experiences. We had a 7pm reservation, arrived on time and easily found parking. We chose to sit inside and were addressed immediately upon entry. There was only one waiter, a departure from previous visits, which meant that the service was a bit slow though he was very pleasant. Took some time to get our order in and had to remind him to bring water a couple of times. For our meal, here was our listing: For the wife - Panama Vieja roll: she enjoyed it, though she mentioned she could do with less pineapple garnish, however, that's an easy fix. The roll was very good and fresh For me - Alessandro & Tropical rolls: The Alessandro was really good - this is a chef special roll and I can see why, Fresh ingredients, good garnishing in a good sized roll, made for a delicious eat. It was my first time having these rolls, so I appreciated getting a winner here. The Tropical roll was good, not great - a non-rice roll filled with platano maduro and was to be tempura fried, however, seemed to be apanada instead. With a simple shredded crap topping, it was not as good as the Alessandro, but was decent. Most likely would not order this one again as they offer other great options. For the 9yo - ordered his first ever sushi roll, which was the Fuji. As a true first timer, he enjoyed it thoroughly, though he was filled after eating 7 of them. Good choice for his first go around! Only real issue we had was with the drinks - The wife had Limonada con Coco, our son had Limonada con Maracuya and I had the Sangria. Their drinks were great, my Sangria was terrible, couldn't drink more than two sips. Seems that they used very cheap wine to make it, leading to a bitter taste. They did switch it out for a Limonada con Coco, which was more tart than my wife's but acceptable at that point. They surprised us with a decorated desert acknowledging our anniversary, which was a very nice touch and well received by all. Overall, this is still one of the better sushi restaurants in the City, though they appear to be under new ownership and operating a bit differently from before. Hopefully, they don't stray from the formula that has made this a go-to stop for us when we are in the mood for good sushi.

Took advantage of a promo to check out this restaurant for the first time with the family for a Sunday dinner. Centrally located off of Via Israel, there is available parking spots in front of the restaurant, though not many. We were greeted at entry by a very pleasant waitress who was phenomenal throughout the evening with us. They offer a very extensive menu to select from for a variety of sushi, sashimi, nigiri etc. - typical Japanese fare. We ordered a selection of sushi for the wife and I to share and a chicken fingers meal for the little guy. The quality of the ingredients was apparent - everything tasted very fresh with good flavor. Our only issue was that the rolls where shorter than at other sushi restaurants, High quality, less quantity. They offer a wide variety of drinks, beers, sodas and cocktails to pair with your meal. Overall, this is a high quality & service restaurant option that's great for a special occasion, in our opinion.
