Comida italiana. Pronto dese van a mudar.
This was the second time we went to this restaurant, and it was for a special occasion - my wife's birthday. It was her choice because she likes their version of her favorite dish, risotto! This was the day after Valentine's Day, so there weren't many people there, making parking inside the compound a breeze. As we entered the restaurant veranda, we were immediately greeted and as we went inside, were greeted again and seated immediately. The ambiance is very intimate and comfortable, and we had the same waiter as on our previous visit, about 8 months prior (always a good sign when good waiters remain at the same location). For starters, we had Yuca balls filled with cheese, which were warm, fresh and delicious. The wife had her Fruta del Mar Risotto, which she thoroughly enjoyed - I had the Oso Buco (which comes with a side of Risotto and an excellent brown sauce), which was tender and very tasty - the 9yo had Chicken tenders and fries, which he enjoyed even more when he was able to add some salt. To drink, we both hand Sangria tinto, which was well balanced and the right blend of fruit and alcohol, making for a timely summer drink to pair with our meals. For dessert, we shared a wonderful Brownie and Ice Cream, which they did an excellent job presenting it on a large plate saying "Feliz cumpleaños" with candles. The brownie was served warm, filled with walnuts and had great flavor - not bitter or dried out as we often find at other restaurants at times. Overall, this was an excellent experience - from the ambiance, level of service, quality of the food and infrastructure. The night was a big hit and we highly recommend visiting them when you are in the mood for Italian.
This is a quality Italian restaurant with very good service in a quaint setting. Visited here for the first time on a Tuesday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. There is limited parking inside the compound (appears to be a converted grand old house), with parking spots available in front of the property fence (sidewalk area). It was raining and one of the waiters greeted us with umbrellas to ensure we stayed as dry as possible. There is a large balcony area for alfresco dining or to enjoy happy hour with friends, as well as en expansive interior space for a/c dining. The waiters were very professional in their approach with us throughout our time there, being attentive but not overly so. Our selections were all very good - Fried Mozzarella balls in Tomato sauce for the appetizer - fresh cheese balls lightly fried sitting in very flavorful tomato sauce, Wife had the Fruta del Mar Risotto - a great blend of seafood and fresh Risotto cooked to perfection (not too soft/dry) served in a ceramic pot to serve as you wish. I had the Oso Bucco atop white Risotto with sauteed vegetables on the side - tender Oso Bucco with a light wine sauce with green peas sitting on top of fresh made risotto. An excellent dish! Our son had chicken fingers w/fries - can't go wrong with that for an 8yo For desert we shared a Brownie a la mode - large serving of vanilla ice cream atop a warm, tasty brownie. Overall, every selection was excellent and we were pleasantly surprised that the portions were also reasonable. Often times, better restaurants offer great food with minimal portions, which never makes sense to us (pay more, get less). With such a fantastic dining experience, we highly recommend this restaurant as a must visit when you're in the mood for great Italian food in a dressy causal setting.
