Platos súper originales. Reinterpretaciones de platos panameños, buena opción para probar comida panameña con un toque distinto. Es estilo fonda gourmet, por lo que tiene un ambiente casual y uno mismo se sirve agua y toma sus cubiertos. ¡Muy bueno!

Este es el mejor restaurante de Panamá. Eso sÃ, no tiene un menú "tradicional" para aquellos miembros de tu familia que siempre comen lo mismo. Pero que sabores! No digo más nada, vayan y prueben. No quiero dañar la sorpresa.
Tanto las patatas con pollo como el carpacho de atún son de otro mundo!! Están buenÃsimos!! Y lo mejor es que no es nada caro!! Por 14-15 dólares (incluyendo cerveza balboa) puedes comer perfectamente. Un sitio muy recomendable al que todo el mundo deberÃa ir en su vista al casco.
An exceptional dining experience - even for Casco Viejo where there are many excellent restaurants. However, Fonda Lo Que Hay is simply wonderful, every time we go. We had bread to dip in the excellent sauce. Yuca Tostada con Carpaccio - not exactly carpaccio but if you do like carpaccio a MUST try - the tuna is served over crispy Yuca tostada and there is a delicious sauce to go with it - I could have eaten two - but then I wouldn't be able to eat the other delicious items. Then we had Mondongo (tripe stew), with Chorizo, Panza, Pork Tail served with coconut rice - again, delicious and the tripe was tender and flavorful in this wonderful sauce. And THEN we had Sexy Clams (we cannot come to Fonda Lo Que Hay without having these, they are so delicious). And THEN we had Cacio and Pepe! Again delicious and made unlike any Cacio e Pepe I've had before - it was served with both a vermicelli noodle (crisp) and Penne pasta, small cubes of tender beef tongue were mixed in - too good. Sadly, we were now to full to have the FLAN - if you go, maybe you should eat the flan first - simply the BEST. So if you are in Casco Viejo - this is certainly a place not to miss. Thank you Fonda Lo Que Hay for the fabulous food and the excellent, helpful and cheerful service. Oh, nearly forgot, husband had a marvelous Margarita de Tamarindo - he said it was the best he'd ever had.... You should go!
