Much more than a restaurant, a true experience. All the food was delicious and very rich! Our favorite was the sushi and the salmon Benedict. I wish we would have ordered some of the more experiential items such as the smoked cauliflower but didn’t realize until later. The mimosas were delicious and plentiful during the brunch. The servers all work as a very coordinated team which resulted in excellent service. The dancing, DJ and magician all added to the fun atmosphere without being too much! We all walked away full and happy!
Primitivo Steakhouse Club
excellent experience from the moment we entered! it was our anniversary and they had a special spot for us! the food was exceptional, service was amazing and the vibe was very cool! We will definitely return!
Azahar
Definitely in my top 5 for PTY! The attention to detail is present in every aspect. We were a little confused when the elevator took us to the floral shop, but that is part of the fun and unexpected experience of Azahar! The atmosphere is fun and sexy at the same time, plus it has a view of the Pacific Ocean. Next time I think I would sit outside. When you first enter through the cooler door, you Are hit with a wall of wine - wowza! Needless to say the wine list is very expansive, which we have found to be rare in Panama. Plus they have Moët & Chandon by the glass - yes please! There are also a lot of appetizer options, especially leaning towards Asian cuisine. The sushi rolls were quite large and delicious. We chose the terminator because it was one of the few rolls without cream cheese in it. It was good, but I’d like to try something else next time. The shrimp dumplings were recommended by the waiter and it was a great choice! Crispy and flavorful, definitely worth a repeat. Azahar’s bread is popovers, which completely surprised me. And they are served in mini-dressers which match some dressers in the restaurant - nice touch. I wish the butter was a honey butter versus the very mildly spiced butter offered. For entrees, I found it very hard to select just one because I wanted all of them. I landed on the black cod which was delicious and perfectly prepared. The risotto it was served on top of was not my favorite. It was a pineapple & coconut risotto, and it tasted like piña colada rice - super sweet - and not what I like. Overall amazing experience and I can’t wait to go back!
Souvlaki Gr
If you are craving Greek food, this is the place to go! The food will definitely hit the spot. We enjoyed hummus, tzatziki, Greek salad, slouvaki, skewers, baklava and loukamades. Everything was delicious, but the sauces/dips were the stars! Highly recommend the baklava for dessert. Super sweet but sooo tasty! The service was very attentive and the atmosphere was authentic. We will return soon and often!
Gobe
5 stars all the way! Everything was perfectly seasoned and extremely delicious - pulpo gobe, Caesar salad, porterhouse steak, corvina with creamy caper sauce. The sauce on the pulpo was our favorite but I would re-order the entire meal. The service was exceptional and very attentive, the best we’ve had in Panama. If you like caeser salad, you must order the tableside preparation. It was very professionally done but also entertaining for this foodie nerd! Gobe is now in the running for our favorite in the city!
Sugoi (Brisas del Golf)
Fantastic appetizers, drinks and maki rolls! It was a busy Friday night but service was excellent and everything that came out of the kitchen was delicious! We started with piña coladas which were creamy, fruity and on-point! The spring rolls, gyozas (fried, not steamed) and gamba pop appetizers were fantastic and we all agreed we would order all of them again. Gamba pops are similar to bang-bang shrimp - YUM! For rolls we tried the Philly special (OK), Panda Roll (I didn’t like it because it was fried), Ebi rock (Delic) and Syonara (superb). The kids were super excited to try the desserts, especially the Japanese cheesecake for the first time. All of them were delicious and not too sweet! Fried Ice cream was the favorite amongst all of us, followed by the cookies and cream roll (tastes like fudge) and cheesecake. It is a small restaurant in a mall so the atmosphere is nothing special, but the food makes it totally worth it!!
Kahlo
The ambiance and art are outstanding! The drinks (passion fruit margaritas, strawberry juice) were excellent, but the food was just OK. The shrimp ceviche was delicious with just the right amount. The loaded patacones (mixto), beef tacos, and nachos all seemed to have the same flavors and sauces, including one that was pink. While delicious, the sauce was very heavy and overpowering for the dishes. I wish we would have tried dishes that were more varied to get a better sense of the caliber of the food.
Chèvre
Spectacular food experience from the moment we walked in the door! Every bite and sip was beautiful and delicious. My personal favorite was the shrimp in curry sauce. All of the cheese tastings were delicious and the cappuccino was extra special! They made our birthday celebration extra special and we can’t wait to return for more morsels!
