Nice little ambience, white table cloths and quiet. The food however left a lot to be desired. Watery garlic mushrooms, grilled paprika from a bottle, tasteless octopus, grilled salmon that was actually breaded and baked and over cooked. My recommendation would be for the chef to take more care with what he/she is sending to the table.
Cascomar
An excellent menu. The pulpo al gallego was perfect, the chorizo very good and the gazpacho delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals.
Tre Scalini (Costa del Este)
Good quality Italian style food, very tasty Sopa de Mariscos, excellent Pasta Putanesca, good lasagna. Staff are very good and well trained in their work. Overall a great experience.
Ocho y Medio
Wonderful looking place, well designed, love the open kitchen and bar on opposite side. Lovely helpful staff. Unfortunately the food did not measure up to the promise of the restaurant, throwing a couple of cocktail onions in the lamb stew is not innovative, eggplant recipe very basic and tasteless, corvina was ok, but difficult to go wrong with that. The chocolate mouse was not made with chocolate. Had a lovely night despite the poor kitchen.
Il Grillo
Have the tuna tartare, great recipe and really delicious. Wonderful care taken into preparing the pasta sauces and the chocolate fondant was an absolute hit with our girls. Coupled with an excellent cellar and good coffee, this place has become a favorite.
Los Años Locos (Atrio Mall)
Very simple restaurant, steak was fine but not much care put into pasta dishes or salads. Continual MMA fighting on large screens everywhere. This place is more a sports bar than a restaurant and at that level the food would be ok, but they try to pretend to be white tablecloth and silver service. Still a long way to go.
