So delicious! The soup, won ton, amazing. Fried turnips. Unreal. Roast pork, all the dim sum! Fabulous street food bakery heaven.

I am North American and have been to IHop a dozen times in my life and I am happy to say the Costa Del Este exceeded expectations. This IHop is more upscale then I remember and the pancakes were better than any I had in the States, thick and fluffy and light at the same time. really yum. The shredded hash brown potatoes delicious, crispy outside and just the way I like them. My friend loved his enormous Steak and Potato Stuffed Rolled Omelet. The Steak Sandwich was terrific too. Only bad thing was the weak coffee. I know Panamanians think it's supposed to be weak but it's not. Good American coffee has body and a depth of flavor. Here the coffee smells good but a disappointment, no body.

Just like reviewer Amy I went twice, first to Indian and then to Thai. Let me say that the Indian experience was very pleasant. The hotel is small and charming and what the service staff lacked in training they made up for it in charm The Indian food was delicious, the flavors subtle and cooking delicate. Unfortunately the second time I went for Thai every dish was over priced and the cooking mediocre. The timing was terrible. I was with a friend and my chicken was at served at least fifteen minutes before his fish. Also the chicken was "generic" and served not hot as if it was precooked and "hanging around". I was told that the first chef of the Indian dishes which I enjoyed had just disappeared. I am very disappointed because the hotel is lovely and the management really sweet and it is very pleasant to sit inside or on the terrace, so I am hoping they get their act together and develop a menu they can execute properly and have a long and prosperous run on the Via Argentina.

Wow. Great mid-east food. Delicious, healthy, generous portions. Charming setting inside and out. I am a fan of the Panamanian Lebanese restaurants and have found Ali Basha to be the most excellent! The mezas are so tasty, my mouth waters just think about them! The Corvina is excellently prepared in both ways I've tried it, both with the tomato based sause (Ali Baba?) and the Tahini, oh the taste of lemon and sesame on the beautiful fish, heaven! Great salad accompanies the dish and of course no one fries as well as a Panamanian! Although I love sitting outside on the cool terrace, the charming inside room is a fanciful and whimsical concoction of murals, fabric and charm. Delightful and a bargain!

I have eaten here twice and was disappointed both times. The first I had the salmon with a sauce which was not as described. The preparation of the salmon was the most boring I've ever eaten. The nest time I tried the Corvina with a Mediterranean Sauce. This sauce was the same horrible sauce which came with the salmon, a terrible sauce which could have come from a can and was not as described. The corvina was prepared as badly as the salmon, almost as if steamed with no herbs or oil or seasoning and what is worse was the cut of corvina which usually cooks up firm and white, this was dark and mushy. Also the server asked what I wanted to accompany the fish, rice, pasta, a salad? As if it was to come with the fish gratis. I said pasta and he asked how ? and suggested oil. I said OK and when it came it was Spaghetti way undercooked and beyond al dente and not a trace of garlic or parsley or anything. When the check came also came the charge of $5.95. I will say that my vegetable anti-pasto was delicious but I will not be going to Gusto's ever again. When I'd like a delicious piece of fish or terrific salads and appetizers I'll be going elsewhere to the many great restaurants which abound in Panama City.
