My wife and I went for a very late lunch/early dinner at 5:00 PM to Volcancito's. It looked very promising, but looks can be deceiving. As soon as we walked in, we were pretty much ignored and had to ask if we could be seated. We were directed to an indoor area, even though the outdoor terrace was quite empty. They claimed all the terrace tables were reserved. From there, the service went downhill. It took more than 10 minutes for someone to take our order. In the dining room where we were seated, the music was too loud, and the reggaeton playing was not appropriate for a dining establishment. We asked if they could lower the volume or allow us to hear the more appropriate music playing in the other dining room. When the food arrived, it was nothing special. The corn on the cob was presented nicely but was difficult to eat. The flavor was just okay. The carne asada tacos were the biggest disappointment—dry and lacking in flavor.
